Other background materials may be provided as a supplement to, but <br /> not as a substitute for, this form. <br /> Person to address the BOCC and contact information: Lynn Nilssen <br /> <lynn.a.nilssen@gmail.com> <br /> Primary County Staff Contact Person: Aaron Rimmler-Cohen <br /> acohen@orangecountync.gov <br /> How many times per month does this board/commission meet, including any special <br /> meetings and sub-committee meetings? <br /> The Affordable Housing Advisory Board meets once per month. <br /> Brief Statement of Board/Commission's Assigned Charge and Responsibilities. <br /> The Board advises the Board of County Commissioners regarding prioritizing housing needs, <br /> assessing project proposals, publicizing the county's housing objectives, monitoring the progress of <br /> Local housing programs, exploring new funding opportunities, and increasing the community's <br /> awareness of the need for attractive, affordable housing. <br /> What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br /> The Board assessed the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) recipients for the first$5 million tranche of <br /> affordable housing investments.The board also researched the last 20 years of affordable housing <br /> investments to inform a future report on County affordable housing investment lessons learned. <br />
