2 <br /> This grant will support a 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) Clinical Services Coodinator position. The <br /> family mentor position and related supervision would be handled via contract. Budget Amendment #8-B will increase the authorization in the Multi-Year <br /> Grant Fund by $320,480. <br /> ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports: <br /> • GOAL 2: HEALTHY COMMUNITY <br /> OBJECTIVE 1. Improve harm reduction, prevention, and support services for adults and <br /> children experiencing behavioral health issues, substance use disorder, and intellectual or <br /> developmental disability. <br /> OBJECTIVE 3. Provide social safety net programming and the resources needed for our <br /> most vulnerable community members (e.g., veterans, unhoused people, foster children, <br /> older adults, etc.). <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) Accept the START grant and approve and authorize the County Manager to sign any <br /> related agreements or amendments; <br /> 2) Establish a 1.0 FTE position to serve in the clinical service coordinator role; <br /> 3) Authorize services contracts for the family mentor position and supervision; and <br /> 4) Approve Budget Amendment #8-B. <br />
