This past <br />summer, I interned with the Youth Department at the Volunteer Center Orange County <br />(California). As an intern, I planned volunteer events, assisted in service-learning <br />activities, and helped organize seasonal events, such as a Youth Service Conference. <br />The previous two summers (2002 and 2003), I worked far Representative Doug Yongue <br />in the North Carolina General Assembly, where I did addressed constituent concerns and <br />performed education policy research. <br />Volunteer Experience: <br />This semester, I have begun training at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center to <br />become a companion to survivors of sexual violence, My volunteer experience in my <br />previous two years in college have consisted of tutoring different groups in the <br />population. In high school, I was the vice president of both Key Club and National Honor <br />Society, where I planned large volunteer projects. <br />Education: <br />I am currently a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill. I am double majoring in Public Policy and <br />Economics. My current GPA is 3.879, I am a member of the Honors Program, and I <br />have been on the Dean's List every semester.
