He said that the future land use map is changing, and they need to <br /> 4 get as much input as possible. <br /> 5 Chair Bedford said they are trying to schedule a meeting with Mebane, and they would <br /> 6 like the Planning Board to be aware of that so they can watch. She said they also have a <br /> 7 meeting with the Planning Board about the comprehensive plan. <br /> 8 Cy Stober said there is not a joint meeting scheduled but the Planning Board <br /> 9 presentation will be made in the spring and more formal presentations in the fall. He said if there <br /> 10 is a desire for a joint meeting, they can look into that. Consultant Presentation on Draft Orange County Land Use Plan 2050 <br /> 17 The Board received a presentation from Clarion Associates, LLC, on the Draft Land Use Plan <br /> 18 2050 for discussion and feedback. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 BACKGROUND: At its September 10, 2024 work session, the BOCC received a presentation <br /> 21 with an update on project progress, preliminary outcomes of the second community <br /> 22 engagement window, and initial recommendations for the draft Conservation and Growth <br /> 23 Framework. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 County Planning staff, Staff Working Group, and Clarion Associates have been coordinating to <br /> 26 prepare the draft Public Review Draft of the Land Use Plan 2050 for BOCC review and <br /> 27 feedback. Feedback received from the Board will be used to edit the Public Review Draft, which <br /> 28 will be the focus of the third community engagement window to be held May—July of this year. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Additional information, including objectives for the March 11 and April 8, 2025 BOCC work <br /> 31 sessions, is provided in Attachment A.
