33 <br /> 1 Habitat, which is paid out as invoices are received, and also the tenant-based rental assistance. <br /> 2 He said they are reading to draw down around $100,000 for tenant-based rental assistance in the <br /> 3 next month, and likely another $100,000 by the end of the fiscal year. <br /> 4 Commissioner Fowler asked if the federal HOME ARP money will still available. <br /> 5 Blake Rosser said the HUD staff administering those funds are very intent on getting the <br /> 6 money to Orange County as quickly as possible. He said things could change quickly, but there <br /> 7 is no definitive answer right now. <br /> 8 Commissioner McKee asked how quickly staff is able to either approve or disapprove <br /> 9 repair requests. <br /> 10 Blake Rosser said it can take months for an urgent repair request, but the average time <br /> 11 has gone down in the past year. He said they work with the Home Preservation Coalition to triage <br /> 12 different requests and prioritize them and then distribute them among the community partners <br /> 13 based on which program is best suited for the specific request. He said after that it is just a matter <br /> 14 of how many projects are in the queue and how much funding is available. He said he received a <br /> 15 question earlier from Commissioner Portie-Ascott and wanted to share that two people have been <br /> 16 assisted through Habitat's Homebuyer Assistance Program, and no one has been assisted yet <br /> 17 with the Housing Choice Voucher Homebuyer Assistance Program, but staff is in the process of <br /> 18 working with one person. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 4.
