59
 + Orange County
7 Emergency Services
A Prepared,Coordinated, and Integrated Emergency Services System
V E9-1.1
E-911 I Fire Marshal I EMS I Emergency Management
EMS DIVISION
February 14t`2025
Dear Dr. Jaimes-Colina,
As a partner of Piedmont Health Services and as the manager of the Orange County Emergency
Services (OCES) Post-Overdose Response Team (PORT), I am writing this letter to express my
support for Piedmont Health Services Inc.'s intentions of utilizing Orange County High Impact
Opioid Abatement Strategies funding to provide additional financial support for individuals
receiving evidence-based treatment.
One of the most impactful services we provide to our community is the ability to remove the
barriers presented to an individual who is experiencing opioid-use disorder (OUD) in accessing
medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). However, an additional and critical barrier we
have frequently encountered with the individuals that we serve is in their ability to afford
ongoing access to these services as well as accessing and affording additional services for other
healthcare needs.
By strategically partnering with an organization that is providing MOUD as well as primary care,
we can help people achieve goals of stability, health, and well-being.
I look forward to strengthening our collaboration with Piedmont Health Services in order to
further serve the needs of community members with OUD within Orange County.
Please feel free to contact me at the email below if you require any further information.
Sincerely,
U4-. a • P.
