57
Ormige County Office: (919) 245-2301
Courdiouse Fax: (919) 640-1729
106 least Margaret Lane azirlccl@orangecouutync.gov
Hillsborough,NC 27278
CRIMINAL JUSTICE RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
February 14, 2025
Dear Dr.Jaimes-Colina,
As a current partner of Piedmont Health Services and a representative of programs that serve
people with Opioid Use Disorder in Orange county, I am writing this letter to express my
support for Piedmont Health Service Inc.'s application to the Orange County High Impact Opioid
Abatement Strategies funding.
The Lantern Project is a Deflection, Diversion, and Reentry program that works to support
people with histories of substance use who are justice involved by connecting them to
therapeutic supports as soon as possible. One of the ways we plan to continue serving our
community is through strengthening our partnership with Piedmont Health Services, Inc. (PHS),
an agency which is implementing an impactful evidence-based addiction treatment program.
By strategically partnering with an organization that is providing Medications for Opioid Use
Disorder (MOUD) as well as primary care,we can help people achieve goals of stability, health, and
well-being.This enhanced partnership has the potential to create a more streamlined, patient-centered
approach to recovery and wellness. PHS provides much-needed, low barrier access to MOUD and
medical care, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with PHS with regards to client
MOUD referrals and care coordination.
Please feel free to contact me at the email below if you require any further information.
Sincerely,
AlliPZirkel, LCSW, LCAS
Clinical Coordinator
Criminal Justice Resource Department
Office:919-245-2304, Cell: 919-748-2196
azirkel@orangecountync.go_v
ORANGE COUNTY
NORTH CAROLINA
