Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 62 00 -6 SHEET METAL FLASHING AND <br />TRIM <br />10.Fabricate,support,cleat,fasten and join sheet metal to prevent warping,"oil <br />canning",and buckling. <br />B.Sheet Metal Laps (unless otherwise indicated): <br />1.Notch and lap ends of adjoining sheet metal sections not less than 4 inches; <br />apply sealant tape or two bead of butyl sealant between sections. <br />2.Lap miters at corners a minimum of 1 inch and apply sealant between laps. <br /> Rivet at 2 inches on center. <br />C.Polymer Clad Sheet Metal: <br />1.Secure flanges of polymer clad sheet metal into roof deck at 12 inches on center. <br />2.Sheet Metal Laps: <br />a.Leave a 1/4 inch opening between sheet metal sections. <br />b.Center aluminum tape over joint opening. <br />c.Hot-air weld 4-inch wide strip of stripping membrane over joint. <br />d.At inside and outside corners,lap miters a minimum of 1 inch and rivet at <br />2 inches on center;strip in with 4-inch wide strip of stripping membrane <br />over joint. <br />D.Fasteners: <br />1.Size and type required. <br />2.Fasteners compatible with materials being joined. <br />3.Exposed Fasteners: <br />a.Install screws with 5/16-inch predrilled,oversized holes. <br />b.Install Concrete and Masonry Anchors with 11/32-inch predrilled, <br />oversized holes. <br />c.Exposed horizontal surface fasteners are not acceptable. <br />E.Pitch Pan: <br />1.Fabricate pitch pan as shown in detail drawings. Size pitch pan minimum 2 <br />inches larger than the penetration.Provide a 4-inch minimum flange and double <br />walls with minimum depth of 4 inches. <br />2.​Provide hot-air welded stripping membrane over seams of pitch pan.​ <br />3.Strip-in flange of pitch pan as indicated in the Contract Drawings. <br />4.Install 2 inch wide aluminum tape around pitch pan extending 1/2 inch above top <br />edge. <br />5.Fill pitch pan with non-shrink grout to a depth of 2 inches from the top of the tape. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
