Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 54 00 -7 THERMOPLASTIC SINGLE PLY <br />ROOFING <br />F.Termination Bar: Manufacturer's 1/8 inch by 1 inch mill finish extruded aluminum bar with <br />pre-punched slotted holes. <br />G.Lipped Termination Bar:3/4 inch wide,extruded mill finished aluminum (6063 T6 Alloy) <br />with 3/16 inch lip and pre-punched oval holes at 6 inches on center. <br />H.Walkway Pad:Walkway pad by manufacturer of membrane. <br />I.Pre-Fabricated Expansion Joint:Manufacturer's approved pre-fabricated expansion joint <br />made with polyester reinforced membrane,neoprene foam and galvanized metal. <br />J.Polymer Clad Metal:Refer to Section 07 62 00 -Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim. <br />2.5 SEALANTS AND CLEANERS <br />A.Sealant:Manufacturer's multi-purpose sealant. <br />B.Sealant Tape:Minimum 1/2 inch wide,non-skinning,butyl sealant tape. <br />C.Primary Membrane Cleaner:High-quality solvent cleaner provided by membrane <br />manufacturer for use as a general membrane cleaner. <br />D.Pre-weld Cleaner:High-quality solvent based seam cleaner with moderate evaporation <br />rate as recommended and provided by membrane manufacturer. <br />2.6 FASTENERS <br />A.Flashing Membrane Termination Screws: #12 corrosion resistant hex or pan head <br />screws with length to penetrate substrate a minimum of 1-1/2 inch. <br />B.Concrete and Masonry Flashing Membrane Termination Anchors: <br />1.1/4-inch diameter metal-based expansion anchor with stainless steel pin of <br />length to penetrate substrate a minimum of 1-1/2 inch. <br />2.Masonry screws approved my membrane manufacturer,1/4-inch minimum <br />diameter,corrosion resistant,with Phillips flat head. Length to provide minimum <br />1-1/2 inch embedment into substrate. <br />C.Steel Deck Fasteners and Plates:#12 corrosion resistant approved by membrane <br />manufacturer of length to penetrate top flange of steel deck a minimum of 1 inch with <br />galvalume plates approved for membrane attachment. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />A.Inspect the surface of the insulation or substrate prior to installation of the roof <br />membrane. <br />B.Verify that the substrate is dry,clean,smooth,and free of debris,loose material,oil, <br />grease,or other foreign matter.
