Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 41 13 -16 METAL ROOF PANELS <br />3.Install panels plumb,level and straight with seams and ribs parallel,conforming <br />to design and manufacturer's published instructions as indicated. <br />4.Provide continuous roof panels,with no joints or seams,except where specified. <br />5.Install metal roof system weathertight,without waves,warps,buckles,fastening <br />stresses or distortion,allowing for expansion and contraction. <br />6.Provide concealed fastener/clips at panel attachment locations. <br />7.Provide exposed fasteners in trim components with pre-painted head and washer <br />with EPDM-backed gasket for watertight seal. Fasteners of size and type for <br />metal thickness and substrate material. Follow the fastener manufacturer's <br />published requirements for fastener application and installation instructions. <br />8.Install roof clips to allow the completed roofing assembly to accommodate <br />anticipated specified thermal movement. <br />F.Roof Panel Seams: <br />1.Seam roof panels with the specified Manufacturer's electric seaming tool, <br />producing a 90-degree seam. <br />2.Ensure the roof panel is seamed per the Manufacturer's published instructions. <br />3.Ensure seam has factory-applied sealant in place prior to seaming. <br />4.Calibrate and service seaming tool by the roofing manufacturer or other <br />approved seaming tool manufacturer/service center. Calibrate and adjsut <br />seaming equipment for the metal gage,type and finish. <br />5.Provide true,straight and aligned seam without bending,warping or scratching <br />through the panel finish. <br />6.Replace panels due to improper roof panel seaming results. <br />G.Squareness: <br />1.Aesthetics of completed roofing is of utmost importance. <br />2.Provide panels,framing,components and trim aligned true,straight and square. <br />3.Ensure installation and sequence is square for proper fit of components. <br />4.Do not exceed tolerance for squareness of 1:500 (1.92 inch per 100 ft). <br />5.Maintain modularity and alignment of roof panels to prevent roof panel "stair- <br />stepping"or "fanning". <br />6.Utilize the Manufacturer's "spacer tools","module makers"and/or measuring <br />tape to maintain consistent roof panel coverage. <br />7.Check for squareness after installing no more than every five (5)panels to <br />ensure the panels are laying-up square and remain true. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
