Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 41 13 -13 METAL ROOF PANELS <br />H.Inspect conditions at pipes,conduit,fans,stacks and curbs to determine conditions and <br />work requirements necessary to disconnect services,remove equipment,reinstall <br />equipment and install structural supports necessary to support the equipment and curbs. <br /> Provide electrical,plumbing,mechanical and other services necessary to relocate <br />rooftop equipment and roof penetrations. <br />I.Commencement of work signifies acceptance of substrates. Correct defects in roofing <br />work resulting from accepted substrates to Owner's satisfaction at no additional expense. <br />J.Reject and replace materials damaged during shipping,storage or handling. <br />K.Inspect storage conditions daily to ensure materials remain protected from damage, <br />condensation,dew,rain or other contamination. <br />3.2 PREPARATION <br />A.Roof Substrate: <br />1.Dry and broom and/or vacuum clean of loose gravel,stone,dirt,dust,debris and <br />foreign matter prior to installation of the roofing system. Do not use blowers <br />unless accepted by the Engineer/Owner. <br />2.Remove free water and wet or damp debris from deck substrate surface before <br />installing roofing system. <br />3.Verify wall substrates are in satisfactory condition before commencement of the <br />Work. <br />B.Protection: <br />1.Protect the building and materials from exposure to weather related damages. <br />2.Protect building walls and other surfaces with canvas or suitable tarp wherever <br />equipment or materials are taken up to or down from roof. <br />3.Protect building interiors using suitable methods required to prevent damage <br />from roofing activities. <br />4.Dry-in the building daily to ensure the building remains watertight. Take <br />necessary measures to protect the building from weather related exposures <br />during the project. <br />5.Seal deck openings to prevent dust and debris from entering the building. <br />6.Protect building grounds,landscaping and exterior components and fixtures from <br />damaged during construction activities.
