Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 22 16 -6 ROOF INSULATION <br />1.Install at edges to make transitions as detailed in Contract Drawings. <br />2.Provide slope transition at the outside of drainage sumps. <br />3.Use 1/2 inch by 6 inch tapered edge strips in front of tapered insulation crickets <br />to provide smooth transition. <br />E.Insulation Mechanical Attachment: <br />1.Fastener quantity and spacing as required to comply with the requirements of <br />roof system manufacturer's approved,tested assembly. <br />2.Install fasteners using manufacturer's recommended equipment and in <br />accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. <br />3.Set fasteners and stress plates secure and tight against the insulation surface <br />and do not over drive. <br />4.Fasteners to engage the top flange of steel decks only. <br />F.Foam Adhesive: <br />1.Position and space adhesive beads as required to comply with the requirements <br />of the roof system manufacturer's approved,tested assembly. <br />2.Size adhesive beads in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer's guidelines. <br />3.Place insulation boards onto the beads and "walk"and/or "weight"into place. <br />Place insulation boards into the adhesive in accordance with the adhesive <br />manufacturer's guidelines. <br />4.Ensure adhesion of insulation and take whatever steps necessary to achieve <br />adhesion,including but not limited to temporary ballasting of insulation until <br />adhesive sets. <br />END OF SECTION <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
