Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 07 01 50 -1 PREPARATION FOR <br />REROOFING <br />SECTION 07 01 50 <br />PREPARATION FOR REROOFING <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A.Section Includes: <br />1.Complete preparatory work prior to roof installation including but not limited to: <br />a.Removal of roof assemblies down to the steel deck. <br />b.Under roof deck survey <br />1.2 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A.Drawings and general provisions of the Contract,including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions,Division 1 Specification Sections and the following Specification Sections <br />apply to this Section: <br />1.Section 05 01 30 -Steel Roof Deck Repair and Securement <br />2.Section 06 10 00 -Rough Carpentry <br />3.Section 07 22 16 -Roof Insulation <br />4.Section 07 41 13 -Metal Roof Panels <br />5.Section 07 54 00 -Thermoplastic Single Ply Roofing <br />1.3 DEFINITIONS <br />A.Removal:Remove and legally dispose of items except those indicated to be reinstalled, <br />salvaged,or to remain property of the Owner. <br />B.Existing to remain:Protect construction indicated to remain against damage and soiling <br />during demolition. When accepted by Engineer,items may be removed to a suitable, <br />protected storage location during demolition,cleaned and reinstalled in their original <br />locations. <br />C.Material ownership:Except for items or materials indicated to be reused,salvaged, <br />reinstalled,or otherwise indicated to remain the Owner's property,demolished items <br />become the Contractor's property.
