Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 77 00 -2 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br />7.Complete final cleaning requirements,including touchup painting. <br />8.Touch up and otherwise repair and restore marred exposed finishes to eliminate <br />visual defects. <br />B.Substantial Completion Inspection: On receipt of written substantial completion <br />certification,the Engineer will make a substantial completion inspection within 7 days <br />after receipt of certification. <br />1.Should the Engineer consider the Work not substantially complete,he will notify <br />the Contractor,in writing,stating the reasons. Complete the Work and send a <br />second written notice to the Engineer,certifying the Project is substantially <br />complete,at which time the Engineer will re-inspect the work. <br />2.Should the Engineer consider the Work substantially complete,he will prepare <br />and issue ​AIA G704​ accompanied by the list of items to be completed or <br />corrected (Punch List). <br />3.A punch list of items will be prepared for correction and completion before the <br />Final Inspection. Complete the punch list items within 15 days of the punch list <br />inspection. If the Contractor fails to complete the punch list within this period,the <br />Owner has the right to impose liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 for <br />each consecutive day until the items are completed. <br />1.6 FINAL COMPLETION <br />A.Preliminary Procedures: Before requesting final inspection for determining date of Final <br />Completion,complete the following: <br />1.Submit a final Application for Payment according to Division 01. <br />2.Submit signed copy of Engineer's inspection list of items to be completed or <br />corrected (punch list)certifying each item has been completed or otherwise <br />resolved for acceptance. <br />3.Submit evidence of final,continuing insurance coverage complying with <br />insurance requirements. <br />4.Instruct Owner's personnel in operation,adjustment,and maintenance of <br />products,equipment,and systems. <br />B.Final Inspection: The submission of the signed punch list constitutes as written request <br />for final inspection for acceptance. On receipt of request,Engineer along with the <br />Owner's Representative will conduct a final inspection within 7 days of receipt of <br />certification. <br />1.Should the Engineer consider that the Work is finally complete in accordance <br />with requirements of the Contract Documents,Project Closeout Submittals will be <br />requested. <br />2.Should the Engineer consider that the Work is not finally complete,notification to <br />the Contractor,in writing,stating the reasons will be made. <br />3.Take steps to remedy the stated deficiencies and send a second written notice to <br />the Engineer certifying that the Work is complete,at which time the Engineer will <br />re-inspect the Work. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
