Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 42 00 -1 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />SECTION 01 42 00 <br />REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A.Requirements relating to referenced standards. <br />1.2 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A.Drawings and general provisions of the Contract,including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Specification Sections apply to this Section. <br />1.3 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A.Reference standards are specified in Part 1 of the applicable specification section. <br />B.For products or workmanship specified by reference to a document or documents not <br />included in the Project Manual,also referred to as reference standards,comply with <br />requirements of the standard,except when more rigid requirements are specified or are <br />required by applicable codes. <br />C.Comply with the reference standard of date of issue ​current on date of Contract <br />Documents​,except where a specific date is established by applicable code. <br />D.Should specified reference standards conflict with Contract Documents,request <br />clarification from the Engineer before proceeding. <br />E.Neither the contractual relationships,duties,or responsibilities of the parties in Contract <br />nor those of the Engineer shall be altered by Contract Documents by mention or <br />inference otherwise in any reference document. <br />1.4 BUILDING CODE <br />A.Compy with the building code and energy conservation code/standard in effect in ​​​North <br />Carolina​​​ and ​​​current on date of Contract Documents​​​. <br />1.2018 North Carolina Building Code <br />2.2018 North Carolina Energy Conservation Code <br />END OF SECTION <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
