Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 40 00 -6 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS <br />b.During inclement weather and temporary suspension of work,inspect the <br />facility no later than 9:00 AM each day for leaks and perform temporary <br />repairs if necessary. Make inspections daily during extended periods of <br />inclement weather. Upon arrival at the facility,inform the Owner of his <br />presence and purpose. <br />c.If inspection of the facility does not occur by 9:00 AM on days of <br />inclement weather and there is one or more leaks attributable to the <br />Work,at 9:15 AM the Owner can exercise his right to contact an outside <br />contractor to perform temporary repairs as necessary to prevent damage <br />to the building,its contents and to minimize disruption. Reimburse the <br />outside contractor an equitable amount as determined solely by the <br />outside contractor. If the Contractor arrives at the project site after the <br />outside contractor has been contacted,but before temporary repairs are <br />made,reimburse the amount contractor the fixed amount of $500.00, <br />each occasion,for mobilization and/or travel expenses. <br />d.In the event inclement weather occurs after normal business hours, <br />Saturday,Sunday or holidays,make arrangements with the Owner to <br />provide access to the building to inspect for leaks. Compensate Owner <br />for providing personnel for the service on an hourly rate basis as <br />determined solely by the Owner. <br />D.Manufacturer's Field Services: During construction,perform quality assurance site visits <br />monthly by manufacturer's technical representative to ensure materials are being <br />properly installed and as required to obtain the specified warranty. <br />1.The first site visit performed within the first three (3)days of operations. <br />2.Coordinate site visits with Engineer. Submit reports of findings within one week <br />of inspection. Payment applications will be rejected until applicable reports are <br />received. <br />3.Inspections to be performed by an employee of the selected manufacturer that is <br />assigned full time to their technical services department. Sales personnel are not <br />acceptable for this function and may result in rejection of the work installed that <br />does not fulfill this requirement. <br />4.Manufacturer's final inspections performed only with REI personnel in <br />attendance. A minimum of seven days'written notice is required. Manufacturer's <br />final inspection conducted without REI personnel in attendance will be repeated <br />at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />5.Violation of these requirements results in the removal of that manufacturer for a <br />period of not less than one year from the Engineer's accepted materials list. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.1 REPAIR AND PROTECTION <br />A.On completion of testing,inspecting,sample taking,and similar services,repair damaged <br />construction and restore substrates and finishes. <br />B.Protect construction exposed by or for quality control service activities. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
