Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 40 00 -3 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS <br />M.Control of Installation <br />1.Monitor quality control over suppliers,manufacturers,products,services,site <br />conditions,and workmanship,to produce work of specified quality. <br />2.Comply with manufacturers'instructions,including each step in the sequence <br />3.Request clarification from Engineer before proceeding in the event <br />manufacturers'instructions conflict with Contract Documents. <br />4.Comply with specified standards as the minimum quality for the Work,except <br />where more stringent tolerances,codes,or specified requirements indicate <br />higher standards or more precise workmanship. <br />5.Only allow Work performed by person qualified to produce workmanship of <br />specified quality. <br />6.Secure products in place with positive anchorage devices designed and sized to <br />withstand stresses,vibration,physical distortion,or disfigurement. <br />N.Tolerances: <br />1.Monitor tolerance control of installed products to produce acceptable work.Do <br />not permit tolerances to accumulate. <br />2.Comply with manufacturers'tolerances.Request clarification from Engineer in <br />the event manufacturers'tolerances conflict with Contract Documents. <br />3.Adjust products to appropriate dimensions;position before securing products in <br />place. <br />O.Installer Qualifications: A firm or individual experienced in installing,erecting,or <br />assembling work similar in material,design,and extent to that indicated for this Project, <br />whose work has resulted in construction with a record of successful in-service <br />performance. <br />1.Maintain applicable federal,state and municipal licenses. <br />2.Be certified in writing for a minimum of 2 years by the material manufacturer to <br />install the primary specified products. <br />3.Have a minimum of 5 years'experience in installing the same or similar materials <br />specified under the same firm name as that submitting the bid. If requested, <br />submit a copy of firm's Articles of Incorporation to verify years in business. Crew <br />workers on site are experienced and have a working knowledge of the system <br />being installed. <br />4.Principals of the firm to have a minimum of 10 years'experience in the <br />estimating,supervision,management and administration of a contracting firm <br />engaged in work similar to work as specified. <br />5.Licensed by state work is occurring in for the type and dollar amount of work <br />contemplated by these Contract Documents. <br />6.Never filed bankruptcy or filed for protection from creditors. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
