Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 40 00 -1 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS <br />SECTION 01 40 00 <br />QUALITY REQUIREMENTS <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A.Section Includes: <br />1.This Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for quality <br />assurance and quality control. <br />2.Secure and pay costs of licenses and permits required by City,County and/or <br />State authorities. <br />1.2 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A.Drawings and general provisions of the Contract,including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Specification Sections apply to this Section. <br />1.3 DEFINITIONS <br />A.Quality-Assurance Services: Activities,actions,and procedures performed before and <br />during execution of the Work to guard against defects and deficiencies and ensure that <br />proposed construction complies with requirements. <br />B.Quality-Control Services: Tests,inspections,procedures,and related actions during and <br />after execution of the Work to evaluate that completed construction comply with <br />requirements. Services do not include contract enforcement activities performed by <br />Engineer. <br />C.Authority Having Jurisdiction:AHJ <br />1.4 DELEGATED DESIGN <br />A.Performance and Design Criteria: Where professional design services or certifications by <br />a design professional are specifically required of Contractor by the Contract Documents, <br />provide products and systems complying with specific performance and design criteria <br />indicated. If criteria indicated are not sufficient to perform services or certification <br />required,submit a written request for additional information to Engineer. <br />1.5 SUBMITTALS <br />A.Permit:Provide copy of construction permits along with required licenses or certifications <br />required by the AHJ. <br />1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A.Perform quality assurance in accordance with governing Codes,referenced standards, <br />established standards,or industry standards. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
