Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 33 00 -1 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br />SECTION 01 33 00 <br />SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A.Section Includes: <br />1.This Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for submitting <br />Shop Drawings,Product Data,Samples,and other miscellaneous submittals. <br />1.2 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A.Drawings and general provisions of the Contract,including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Specification Sections apply to this Section. <br />1.3 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE <br />A.General:The Contractor is responsible for providing the submittals to the Engineer. Each <br />submittal is required to be accepted in writing prior to commencement of work. <br />B.Submission Requirements: <br />1.Submit required submittals electronically in pdf format to the Engineer for review. <br /> The submittals will then be returned electronically to the Contractor with <br />comments. Final submittals require written responses to submittal comments. <br />C.Processing Time: Allow time for submittal review,including time for resubmittals,as <br />specified below,commencing on Engineers receipt of submittal. <br />1.Initial Review: Allow 7 work days for initial review of submittals. <br />2.Allow 7 work days for processing each resubmittal. <br />3.No extension of the Contract Time will be authorized because of failure to <br />transmit submittals enough in advance of the Work to permit processing. <br />D.Identification: <br />1.Submit as one pdf file with bookmarks for each scheduled item. <br />E.Deviations: Highlight,encircle,or otherwise identify deviations from the Contract <br />Documents on submittals and provide letter describing in detail proposed changes, <br />substitutions,or deviations from the project or manufacturers specifications. Include a <br />written explanation of why substitutions should be considered under the appropriate tab. <br />F.Transmittal: Package submittals appropriately for transmittal. Engineer will discard <br />submittals received from sources other than Contractor.
