Orange County Solid Waste <br />Scalehouse Building 01 14 00 -3 WORK RESTRICTIONS <br />1.Truck and equipment access: <br />a.Avoid traffic conflict with vehicles of the Owner's employees and <br />customers and avoid over-loading of street and driveways elsewhere on <br />the Owner's property,limit the access of trucks and equipment to the <br />designated areas. <br />b.Provide adequate protection for curbs and sidewalks over which trucks <br />and equipment pass to reach the job site. <br />2.Contractor's vehicles: <br />a.Require contractor's vehicles,vehicles belonging to employees of the <br />contractor,and other vehicles entering the Owner's property in <br />performance of the work the contract,to use only the designated access <br />route. <br />b.Do not permit such vehicles to park on street or other area of the <br />Owner's property except in the designated area. <br />1.9 USE OF BUILDING <br />A.Maintain building in a weathertight condition throughout construction period. <br />B.Take precaution against injuries to persons or damage to property. <br />C.Protect building,its contents,and its occupants during construction period. <br />D.Do not overload or permit the structure to be loaded with such weights that endanger its <br />safety or to cause excessive deflection. <br />1.Equally distribute materials placed on the roof. <br />E.Properly secure materials or equipment placed on roof to prevent blow off during wind <br />events. Ensure materials or equipment on roof does not interfere with roof drainage. <br />F.Repair to the Owner and Engineer's satisfaction,or to restore to condition at the time of <br />award of Contract,or to make restitution acceptable to the Owner,damages to the <br />building and its contents resulting from,or attributable to,the work operation. <br />G.Indoor Air Quality: <br />1.Coordinate with the facility personnel to identify the area where work is <br />performed daily and what HVAC equipment and personnel in the building may be <br />affected by the work. <br />2.Work with facility personnel to prevent odors or fumes from entering the building <br />or where found to not be practical due to the work area,HVAC equipment <br />limitations or other reasons;coordinate with facility personnel to have occupants <br />relocated to an area of the building not affected by the work. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FA2D0569-6BCE-4E38-B3EE-9B3EFD09A753
