PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> 26 No public comments- No members of the public were present. Discussion noted the need to increase <br /> 27 public engagement at future meetings. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 AGENDA ITEM 4. MINUTES—February 17th,2025 <br /> 30 Approval of the February 17th meeting minutes was deferred. Nish T. is still reviewing them and will present <br /> 31 them at the next meeting. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 AGENDA ITEM 5. OUTBOARD AGENDA <br /> 34 <br /> 35 a. Orange County Transportation Priorities for Spot 8.0 <br /> 36 Nish T. provided an overview of the Strategic Prioritization of Transportation (SPOT 8) process and <br /> 37 reviewed the list of potential projects for OUTBoard consideration. He noted that there are currentlythree <br /> 38 State Transportation Improvement Programs (STIPs) in place: the existing approved STIP, which is <br /> 39 undergoing amendments;a new draft STIP anticipated for approval in June;and SPOT 8,which will initiate <br /> 40 the next STIP cycle. In light of recent developments regarding federal funding reductions and the <br /> 41 uncertainty surrounding future transportation authorization legislation, staff advised caution in <br /> 42 assuming that projects submitted through SPOT 8 will receive funding in the upcoming STIP. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 OUTBoard members expressed support for the majority of staff and Transportation Advisory Services <br /> 45 recommendations,with the following modifications: <br />
