Orange County Safe Routes to School—Steering Committee <br /> 48 Nish T. presented a potential plan to begin implementing the adopted 2024 Safe Routes To School Plan, <br /> 49 focusing on the Steering Committee. He requested feedback on forming it addressing composition like <br /> 50 school staff, parents,youth,and other stakeholders.The importance of Parent Teacher Association(PTA) <br /> 51 involvement was highlighted; Nishith to reach out to each school's PTA. Concerns were raised about <br /> 52 managing committee size and expectations. Discussion acknowledged cultural barriers to <br /> 53 walking/biking to school and the need for public champions.
