d, Discuss any required inter-local agreements <br />• Orange County developed an inter-local agreement with the City of Mebane as <br />necessary to have the City agree to allow extension of its utilities to the areas <br />described above and to accept ownership and operational/maintenance <br />responsibilities for those utilities when complete, <br />e, Identify the effect this project will have on the monthly sewer bill for a typical <br />residential user of 5,000 gallons per month, <br />• Under the City of Mebane's current rate structure for sewer-only (no water) use <br />and applicable to out-of-town customers, the monthly sewer bill for 5,000 gallons of <br />sewer usage is $45,00 per month, If a sewer customer is within the city limits, the <br />current cost for 5,000 gallons of sewer-only use is $22.50, <br />4. Provide a summary of the hearing <br />5. Provide an affidavit of publication of the hearing notice <br />The required advertisement for the public hearing was published in the Chapel Hill Herald in the <br />November 29, 2005 edition. The Preliminary Engineering Report is in hand at this time and is <br />now available for public viewing at the offices of the Clerk to the Board of County <br />Commissioners and the County Engineer. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with the public hearing, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board conduct a public hearing <br />on the Buckhorn EDD/Community Sewer Expansion Project Preliminary Engineering Report <br />and provide comments, questions and any further direction to staff as appropriate, <br />
