In addition, Dr. Dennis has
organized and implemented Jubilee Integrated Wellness, an intensive
outpatient clinical program for individuals with serious mental illness.
The program has required implementation of clinical and operational
protocols, completion of numerous vendor contracts, contracting with
insurance companies and training multiple employees to achieve
organizational compliance. Dr. Dennis brings this capacity to bear on
vendor and grant relationships for Jubilee Healing Farm.
26. Please describe any prior
challenges you have
encountered in past grants
and how you have worked
through them. How may this
impact this proposed project?
For our POEM program, we anticipated creating our own Peer Support
Specialist course but discovered that the state of NC was not accepting any
new courses for approval this year. With the help of our volunteer committee,
we pivoted to hire a Peer Support Specialist trainer who could facilitate their
curriculum on site at Jubilee and added in additional outdoor and ecotherapy
workshops led by local and national experts. While our original plan was not
able to be executed, we were able to quickly find a way to fulfill the grant
requirements and create a program that accomplishes all goals.

27. Please describe one to three
key partnerships/
collaborations that add the
most value to the success of
the proposed project.
The partnership between Jubilee Healing Farm and PORCH
Hillsborough adds immense value to this project and our work in
general. While we specialize in growing the food, PORCH enables us to
get that food in the hands of those that most need it. We do not have
the resources to conduct food giveaways for the community and we
rely on PORCH’s vast network and established practices to ensure our
fresh, healthy food gets to those who need it most.
28.
