Does your project accelerate
or expand on existing
programs that already show
positive impact?
This project expands on Jubilee Healing Farm’s existing outdoor mental
health programs that impact the clients of Jubilee Clinic. Jubilee serves
clients through an intensive outpatient program in which clients
participate in eco-therapy and outdoor activities to help advance
mental health healing. This classroom and food forest will serve as a
space for clients to learn and grow as well as a space for them to hone
their outdoor and farming skills. This cob classroom will also serve as a
learning space for our Peer Outdoor Education in Mental Health
(POEM) program which trains Black college students to be NC certified
Peer Support Specialists.
18. Does your project take
advantage of other funding
sources?
Not at this time
19. Would your proposed project
help you to take advantage of
funding from other sources
besides this grant in the
future?
Funding this project would help Jubilee Healing Farm expand climate,
community mental health and arts programs. The Triangle Community
Foundation has indicated that once success is demonstrated, Jubilee
would be a candidate for a larger Cultural Arts grant from the Triangle
Community Foundation which would make expansion on programs that
unite Cultural Arts and Climate Action possible. The additional outdoor
education space will also make Jubilee a more compelling contender
for community education and development grants that combine
mental health with environmental action.
20. Please describe any other
aspect of your project that is
relevant to the efficient use of
grant funds.
Jubilee Healing Farm utilizes volunteers in an effective and efficient way to
keep costs down and commitment and engagement high. These funds would
not only help create an environmentally sound structure and community food
source, but would also increase our investment among volunteers, helping
Docusign Envelope ID: 61C3903E-05FE-49FE-A6AF-E50B7D61917E
