<br />Page 3 of 22 <br /> <br />Briefly describe your proposed use of funds (2-4 sentences): <br /> <br />To the best of my knowledge and belief, all information and data in this application is true and current. <br /> <br /> <br />Signature: 8/16/24 <br /> Applicant’s Authorized Signatory Date <br /> <br />Habitat for Humanity of Orange County proposes to use $100,000 in Orange County Community Climate Action <br />Grant funds to install rooftop solar panels on fourteen newly constructed affordable Habitat homes in Habitat’s <br />Weavers Grove Community in Chapel Hill. <br /> <br />The solar installations will help to address inequities in access to green technology in Orange County, while <br />promoting environmental and resident health by decreasing the amount of fossil fuels burned. Limiting <br />monthly energy costs is a critical component of housing affordability.
