The Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC) has historically used NC Arts Council Grassroots Art Program funds to support this program. However, due to a policy change by the NC Arts Council this year, the OCAC can no longer use state funding to support The ArtsCenter, as they are a recipient of other funding through the NC Arts Council. As a result, Orange County Public Schools has agreed to accept the funding and directly pay the artists involved in this year’s Artist in Residence program. The following artists are to be paid for these FY24-25 programs: <br />Matt Sandbank In-school residencies: <br />• Efland Cheeks, 5th grade, 03/21-03/27 $1,680 <br />• New Hope, 4th grade, 12/5, 12/10-12/13 $2,055 Assemblies: <br />• Efland Cheeks, all grades, 11/08 $1,000 <br />• New Hope, all grades, 12/04 $1,000 <br />Tarish Pipkins In-school residencies: <br />• Grady Brown Kindergarten, 1 week dates not confirmed $1,680 <br />• Grady Brown, 4th grade, 1 week dates not confirmed $1,680 Assemblies: <br />• Pathways, all grades, 12/11 $1,000 <br />• Central, all grades, 11/14 $1,000 <br />• Grady Brown, all grades, 12/13 $1,000 <br />Taari Felice Colman In-school residencies <br />• Grady Brown, 1st grade, 1 week dates not confirmed $1,680 <br />• Pathways, 3rd grade, 1 week dates not confirmed $1,305 <br />Total $15,080 <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 130B17D5-47E5-42C3-B593-2279756BD3C7
