OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Pool Dehumidification Unit 23 84 16 - 7 <br />to isolate the outdoor fluid cooler <br />E.Coils shall be tested at 425 PSIG and mounted vertically for complete surface utilization.Coils <br />shall be counter flow and have adequate capacity to dissipate the total heat rejection of the system <br />at design conditions <br />2.20 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS <br />A.Power Connection:The unit shall be equipped with a single factory-mounted power connection <br />block.Unit shall have appropriately sized factory-mounted motor starter protectors,circuit breakers <br />and a terminal block for single-point field connection of power wiring to the electrical compartment. <br />The terminal blocks shall be suitable for copper conductors only.Electric heat and remote or <br />“piggy-backed”ACC requires separate power feed. <br />2.21 FILTER STATUS INDICATOR <br />A.Unit shall be equipped with sensors to detect when the pressure drop through the return air filters <br />indicates the filters are dirty.When the pressure drop is greater than the preset limit (user <br />programmable),a display on the controller panel will indicate percent filter life remaining. <br />2.22 RAIN HOODS AND LOUVERS (FOR OUTDOOR UNITS ONLY) <br />A.Unit shall be equipped with a rain hood or louver and bird screen for both the outside air and <br />exhaust air dampers. <br />B.Rain hood shall be constructed so as not to reduce the face area of the dampers.Rain hood,bird <br />screen construction and paint shall be the same as the dehumidifier casing.The rain hood and bird <br />screen shall be shipped loose with the unit for field installation by installing contractor. <br />2.23 OPERATING AND SAFETY CONTROLS <br />A.Each unit shall be provided with a complete operating and safety logic control system.The control <br />system shall shut down the compressor in cases of high refrigerant pressure,low refrigerant <br />pressure,and high motor temperature conditions.The complete unit (fans &compressors)shall be <br />shut down to protect the motors if power line abnormalities occur. <br />B.Operating and safety control system shall include all relays,motor controllers,sensors and <br />switches necessary to operate complete unit. <br />2.24 MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLER <br />A.Controller shall be microprocessor based and functions/set points shall be programmable at the <br />panel as follows: <br />1.Space Dry Bulb Temperature <br />2.Space Relative Humidity <br />3.Pool Water Temperature <br />4.Occupied/Unoccupied Schedule <br />5.Damper Positions <br />B.The following readouts and annunciation lights shall be provided on the unit-mounted or remote- <br />mounted,4-line,20-character,backlit LCD display: <br />1.Power On <br />2.Space Dry Bulb Temperature <br />3.Pool Water Temperature <br />4.Pool Water Flow <br />5.Wall Condensation Prevention Temperature <br />6.Outside Air Filter Air Pressure Drop <br />7.Outside Air Dry Bulb Temperature <br />8.Outside Air Relative Humidity <br />9.Supply Air Dry Bulb Temperature <br />10.Damper Position <br />11.Compressor Circuit Fault <br />12.Compressors Off <br />13.First Stage of Compressor On <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
