OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Pool Dehumidification Unit 23 84 16 - 6 <br />2.15 SUPPLY AIR FAN <br />A.Unit shall be equipped with an integral supply-air system.A supply-air fan capable of providing the <br />specified amount of air shall be located in the unit as required.The fan shall operate continuously. <br />B.Fans shall be a forward-curved (AF)dual-inlet (Standard)design. <br />C.No fan isolation is required. <br />2.16 EXHAUST AIR FAN <br />A.Unit shall be equipped with an integral return/exhaust air system.A return air fan capable of <br />exhausting the specified amount of air shall be located in the return air plenum.This return fan will <br />operate whenever the dehumidifier’s supply fan is activated. <br />B.Fans shall be a forward-curved (FC)dual-inlet design. <br />C.No fan isolation is required. <br />2.17 DRAIN PAN <br />A.The floor of each airside section shall be constructed of galvanized steel and powder-coat painted <br />with a protective coating providing a chlorine and pool chemistry resistant finish.The floor sections <br />shall be fully insulated with closed cell foam.The floor sections under condensate producing coils <br />shall be sloped toward the drains and piped to a common drain accessible from either side of the <br />unit.All drain lines within the unit shall be insulated with a minimum 3/4-inch closed-cell foam with <br />self-regulating electric heat tape for freeze protection. <br />2.18 REFRIGERATION CIRCUIT <br />A.The system shall consist of two factory sealed refrigeration circuits for dehumidification and <br />sensible cooling.No site refrigeration work shall be required <br />B.Each refrigeration circuit shall have pressure transducers monitoring the refrigerant discharge <br />(high)and suction (low)pressures.The refrigeration circuit shall be accessible for diagnostics, <br />adjustment and servicing without the need for service manifold gauges <br />C.All refrigeration circuits shall have refrigerant control valves,a liquid line filter-drier,a liquid and <br />moisture indicator,an expansion valve,head pressure control feature and pump down feature <br />D.All refrigeration circuits shall have an externally adjustable balanced port design mechanical <br />thermostatic expansion valve <br />E.The system shall have an externally adjustable balanced port design mechanical thermostatic <br />expansion valve.The valve shall have a removable power head <br />F.Tamper proof,hermetically sealed non-adjustable high and low pressure switches and refrigeration <br />service valves shall be installed using Schrader type valves.Refrigeration service valves shall be <br />located outside of the airstream <br />G.The suction line shall be fully insulated with 0.500-inch closed cell insulation <br />H.The maximum operating pressure for the glycol loop is 100 psi.The glycol loop temperature <br />should not exceed 134 ºF. <br />2.19 FLUID COOLER <br />A.Air-cooled air conditioning shall via a fluid cooler <br />B.The system shall be equipped with an air conditioning mode where excess compressor heat is <br />rejected to a remote outdoor air-cooled heat exchanger (aka Dry Cooler)via a single glycol fluid <br />loop.No site refrigeration work shall be required.The system shall include a circulating pump and <br />expansion tank.The packaged fluid cooled condenser and remote outdoor air-cooled heat <br />exchanger shall both be capable of rejecting 100%of the compressor heat rejection with an air on <br />temperature at summer design conditions <br />C.The system shall be provided with a 24 VAC/2A signal to operate the remote outdoor fluid cooler <br />control <br />D.Each refrigeration circuit shall include refrigerant valves,a receiver with pressure relief valve set at <br />650 psig,a pressure control valve and a pressure differential valve,and two manual shutoff valves <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
