OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Pool Dehumidification Unit 23 84 16 - 5 <br />B.Auxiliary air heating coil tubes,fins,headers,casing and end-plates shall be fully protected by a <br />polyester/enamel coating for maximum corrosion protection.The protective coating shall comply <br />with ASTM B117/D1654 and ASTM D2126 for corrosion resistance against common acids,salts <br />and gases <br />C.Coil casing and end-plates shall be made of galvanized steel <br />D.Fin and tube joints shall be mechanically bonded to ensure high heat transfer <br />E.Fins shall be made of aluminum <br />F.Tubes shall be made of copper <br />G.The maximum loop operating pressure shall not be less than 250 psig <br />2.10 RETURN AND OUTSIDE AIR FILTERS <br />A.The evaporator and reheat condenser coil shall each be protected with a separate upstream air <br />filter system.The filters shall be laminated polyester construction,replaceable type.The filters <br />shall have a non-migrating tackifier encapsulated between the second and third laminates.They <br />shall be totally non-toxic,non-allergenic and will not support the growth of bacteria and fungus. <br />B.The filter shall be 2 inch thick,MERV 13 rated. <br />2.11 DAMPERS MOTORS SHALL BE WEATHER PROOF WITH GORETEX VENTS AND AUTO CLOSE- <br />ON-POWER FAILURE. <br />A.MIXING BOX <br />1.The mixing box shall be integral to the unit and physically located between the evaporator <br />and reheat condenser coils.The mixing box shall be equipped with three dampers to control <br />the amount of exhaust,outside and re-circulated air.The exhaust damper shall be <br />downstream of the evaporator coil to allow full heat reclaim prior to the being exhausted.The <br />reheat condenser coil shall be located downstream of the outside air intake to allow utilization <br />of outside air when available or necessary.The damper motors shall have NEMA 2 housing <br />with GoreTex vents and auto close on power failure and shall use a brushless DC motor. <br />2.12 DAMPERS <br />A.Dampers shall be opposed blade,less than 1%leakage,neoprene tipped,anodized-aluminum air <br />foil cross-section dampers.Each damper section shall be operated by a separate motor,factory <br />mounted and wired into the unit control panel and be capable of modulating the dampers from 0- <br />100%. <br />2.13 FANS (BLOWERS) <br />A.Unit shall be factory equipped with all required fans.The fans shall be sized per the airflow and <br />external static pressure resulting in the horsepower shown on the equipment schedule.Fans shall <br />be balanced to ensure room negative pressure in the natatorium per the scheduled conditions. <br />These fans shall be multi-V-belt driven,double-inlet centrifugal-type with multi-blade wheels. <br />Construction shall be galvanized steel,painted and baked with an epoxy coating providing a <br />chlorine and pool chemistry resistant finish.The fans shall be dynamically and statically balanced <br />and tested on the shafts.Fan bearings shall be grease-lubricated,self-aligning ball bearings <br />selected for 200,000 hours average life. <br />B.Fan shall be multi-V-belt driven,double-inlet centrifugal-type with multi-blade wheels.The blower <br />scroll and housing shall be constructed of cold-rolled steel,coated with an electrostatically applied <br />TGIC polyester paint on G90 galvanized steel.The wheel shall be dynamically and statically <br />balanced and tested on the steel shafts.The fan bearings shall be grease lubricated,self-aligning <br />ball bearings selected for 200,000 hours average life. <br />2.14 FAN (BLOWER)MOTORS <br />A.Fan motor shall be NEMA premium efficiency,totally enclosed,fan-cooled TEFC,with Class F <br />insulation,pre-lubricated ball bearings and mounted on an adjustable base.Motor efficiency shall <br />comply with EPACT-92 requirements as a minimum.Motor to be U.L.listed.Fan motor shall be <br />provided with a factory-mounted and wired motor/starter protector with an adjustable thermal <br />overload and magnetic short circuit protection. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
