OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Pool Dehumidification Unit 23 84 16 - 1 <br />SECTION 23 84 16 <br />POOL DEHUMIDIFICATION UNIT <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A.Furnish and install where indicated,factory-assembled,indoor swimming pool dehumidification <br />system.System shall include compressor(s),evaporator coil(s),air side condenser reheat coil(s), <br />exhaust and supply air fans,air mixing box,air control dampers,pool water condenser,heat <br />section,moisture disposal,complete solid state logic control system,factory-installed and wired in <br />a single unit enclosure. <br />B.The unit shall be specifically designed,manufactured and tested for enclosed swimming pool duty. <br />Field-assembled or modified,standard,commercial grade equipment is not acceptable.Complete <br />unit shall be suitable for outdoor,weatherproof mounting. <br />C.Manufacturer shall have a minimum of ten-plus years prior experience making similar equipment <br />as described in this specification. <br />1.02 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A.AHRI Standard 910 (I-P)2014 -Performance Rating of Indoor Pool Dehumidifiers <br />B.AHRI Standard 920 (I-P)2012 -Performance Rating of DX -Dedicated Outdoor Air System Units <br />1.03 INTENT <br />A.It is the intent of this section of the specifications to provide a complete,operable,adjusted <br />natatorium dehumidification system as shown and scheduled on the plans. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A.Product Data: Submit manufacturer's standard data sheets showing the following for each item of <br />equipment,marked to correlate to equipment item markings indicated in the Contract Documents. <br />B.Shop Drawings: Indicate assembly,unit dimensions,weight loading,required clearances, <br />construction details,field connection details,and electrical characteristics and connection <br />requirements. <br />C.Control Panels: Complete description of options,control points,zones/groups. <br />D.Capacities and ratings shall be at the conditions shown on the Drawings. <br />E.Product Data: <br />1.Published Literature: Indicate dimensions,weights,capacities,ratings,gauges and finishes <br />of materials,and electrical characteristics and connection requirements. <br />2.Filters: Data for filter media,filter performance data,filter assembly,and filter frames. <br />3.Fans: Performance and fan curves with specified operating point clearly plotted,power, <br />RPM. <br />4.Sound Power Level Data: Fan outlet and casing radiation at rated capacity. <br />5.Electrical Requirements: Power supply wiring including wiring diagrams for interlock and <br />control wiring,clearly indicating factory-installed and field-installed wiring. <br />1.05 COORDINATION <br />A.The Mechanical Contractor shall be responsible for costs incurred by the General Contractor, <br />Subcontractors,and Consulting Engineers to accommodate units furnished by a manufacturer <br />other than manufacturer named as basis of design. <br />B.If equipment is supplied by a manufacturer other than the one named,coordinate with the General <br />Contractor and affected subcontractors to ensure the specified performance is met.
