OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Air Duct Accessories 23 33 00 - 6 <br />C.Contractor shall identify balancing dampers above the ceiling by either spray painting them bright <br />orange or hanging an orange flag from the damper handle.If hanging a flag in a return air plenum, <br />material shall comply with fire and smoke spread ratings for plenum use. <br />D.All fire dampers,smoke dampers,and combination fire/smoke dampers shall be installed with <br />bottom edge 24"maximum above lay-in ceiling. <br />E.All balancing dampers shall be installed maximum 30"above the lay-in ceiling. <br />F.Provide duct access doors for inspection and cleaning before and after filters,coils,fans, <br />automatic dampers,at fire dampers,combination fire and smoke dampers,and elsewhere as <br />indicated.​​​​Provide minimum ​​12 by 12 inch​​size for hand access, size for shoulder access,and as <br />indicated. Provide ​​8 by 8 inch​​for balancing dampers only. Review locations prior to fabrication. <br />G.Provide duct test holes where indicated and required for testing and balancing purposes. <br />H.The Contractor shall inspect and test all fire dampers,smoke dampers,and combination <br />fire/smoke dampers in accordance with NFPA 80 in the presence of the Authority Having <br />Jurisdiction. <br />I.At fans and motorized equipment associated with ducts,provide flexible duct connections <br />immediately adjacent to the equipment. <br />J.At equipment supported by vibration isolators,provide flexible duct connections immediately <br />adjacent to the equipment. <br />1.See Section 23 05 48. <br />K.Provide balancing dampers at points on supply,return,and exhaust systems where branches are <br />taken from larger ducts as required for air balancing.Install minimum two duct widths from duct <br />take-off. <br />L.Provide balancing dampers on duct take-off to diffusers,grilles,and registers,regardless of <br />whether dampers are specified as part of the diffuser,grille,or register assembly. <br />END OF SECTION 23 33 00 <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
