OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Hydronic Specialties 23 21 14 - 4 <br />M.Provide a computerized balancing instrument (CBI)consisting of an electronic differential pressure <br />gauge and a microcomputer programmed with the valve characteristics. This allows the direct <br />reading of the flow and differential pressures.The CBI shall become the property of the Owner and <br />have two main components: <br />1.An instrument which contains a micro computer,(input touch pad,LCD display)and re- <br />chargeable batteries with built-in charger. <br />2.A sensor unit which contains a piezo-resistive pressure sensor,one measurement valve,and <br />connecting hoses. The measurement valve has a safety function which protects the sensor <br />from excessive differential pressure. <br />2.06 REDUCERS <br />A.Eccentric reducers shall be used on all water lines with top of reducer level. <br />B.Concentric reducers shall be used wherever equipment connections do not conform to pipe sizes. <br />2.07 UNIONS <br />A.Manufacturers: <br />1.Anvil <br />2.Victaulic <br />3.Viking Gourp <br />4.Ward <br />5.Or Approved Equal <br />B.Unions 2 inches and smaller shall be rated at 150 psi working pressure. <br />C.Unions 2.5 inches and larger shall be gasketed flanged connections. <br />D.Unions shall be ground joint with brass to iron seat.Gasket material shall be 1/16 inch compressed <br />fiber gasket or approved equivalent. <br />E.Flanged unions shall have welding ends. <br />F.Unions or flanges for servicing and disconnect are not required in installations using grooved joint <br />couplings.(The couplings shall serve as unions /disconnect points.) <br />G.Provide dielectric unions or waterway fittings with appropriate end connections for the pipe <br />materials in which installed,to isolate dissimilar metals. <br />2.08 ESCUTCHEONS <br />A.Manufacturers: <br />1.Crane <br />2.Ferguson <br />3.Ritter <br />B.Escutcheons shall be provided wherever pipes pass through walls,floors,or ceilings. <br />C.Escutcheons shall be of sufficient size to cover insulation. <br />D.Escutcheons shall be split ring,cast brass,chromium plated type. <br />E.Escutcheons shall be designed to cover pipe sleeve projection. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A.Install specialties in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B.Provide manual air vents at system high points and as indicated. <br />C.For automatic air vents in ceiling spaces or other concealed locations,provide vent tubing to <br />nearest drain. <br />D.Provide valved drain and hose connection on strainer blowdown connection. <br />E.Contractor to provide initial fill of glycol for system. <br />END OF SECTION 23 21 14 <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
