OC Sportsplex Pool HVAC Unit Replacement <br />PDC Project 23022 Testing,Adjusting,and Balancing for <br />HVAC 23 05 93 - 2 <br />14.Time schedule for TAB work to be done in phases (by floor,etc.). <br />15.Description of TAB work for areas to be built out later,if any. <br />16.Time schedule for deferred or seasonal TAB work,if specified. <br />17.False loading of systems to complete TAB work,if specified. <br />18.Exhaust fan balancing and capacity verifications,including any required room pressure <br />differentials. <br />19.Interstitial cavity differential pressure measurements and calculations,if specified. <br />20.Procedures for formal deficiency reports,including scope,frequency and distribution. <br />C.Control System Coordination Reports: Communicate in writing to the controls installer all setpoint <br />and parameter changes made or problems and discrepancies identified during TAB that affect,or <br />could affect,the control system setup and operation. <br />D.Final Report: Indicate deficiencies in systems that would prevent proper testing,adjusting,and <br />balancing of systems and equipment to achieve specified performance. <br />1.Revise TAB plan to reflect actual procedures and submit as part of final report. <br />2.Submit draft copies of report for review prior to final acceptance of Project. Provide final <br />copies for Architect and for inclusion in operating and maintenance manuals. <br />3.Provide final reports in soft cover,letter size,3-ringbinder manuals,complete with index <br />page and indexing tabs,with cover identification at front and side.Include set of reduced <br />drawings with air outlets and equipment identified to correspond with data sheets,and <br />indicating thermostat locations.The Final Report shall be placed in and become a part of the <br />Maintenance and Operations Manuals (4 copies). <br />4.Include actual instrument list,with manufacturer name,serial number,and date of calibration. <br />5.Form of Test Reports: Where the TAB standard being followed recommends a report format <br />use that;otherwise,follow ASHRAE Std 111. <br />6.Units of Measure: Report data in I-P (inch-pound)units only. <br />7.Include the following on the title page of each report: <br />a.Name of Testing,Adjusting,and Balancing Agency. <br />b.Address of Testing,Adjusting,and Balancing Agency. <br />c.Telephone number of Testing,Adjusting,and Balancing Agency. <br />d.Also include a certification sheet containing the seal and name,address,telephone <br />number,and signature of the Certified Test and Balance Engineer.Include in this <br />division a listing of the instruments used for the procedures along with proof of <br />calibration. <br />E.Project Record Documents: Record actual locations of flow measuring stations and balancing <br />valves and rough setting. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A.The TAB agency shall be a subcontractor of the General Contractor (or Construction Manager) <br />and shall report directly to and be paid by the General Contractor. <br />B.The TAB agency shall be either a certified member of AABC or NEBB to perform TAB service for <br />HVAC,water balancing and vibrations and sound testing of equipment.The certification shall be <br />maintained for the entire duration of duties specified herein. <br />C.Any agency that has been the subject of disciplinary action by either the AABC or NEBB within the <br />five years preceding Contract Award shall not be eligible to perform any work related to the TAB. <br />All work performed in this Section and in other related Sections by the TAB agency shall be <br />considered invalid if the TAB agency loses its certification prior to Contract completion,and the <br />successor agency’s review shows unsatisfactory work performed by the predecessor agency. <br />D.TAB Specialist:The TAB specialist shall be either a member of AABC or an experienced <br />technician of the Agency certified by NEBB.The certification shall be maintained for the entire <br />duration of duties specified herein.If,for any reason,the Specialist loses subject certification <br />during this period,the General Contractor shall immediately notify the Engineer and submit <br />another TAB Specialist for approval.Any individual that has been the subject of disciplinary action <br />by either the AABC or NEBB within the five years preceding Contract Award shall not be eligible to <br />Docusign Envelope ID: D4F3B98E-0756-4A0C-A3AD-05AA32D39F1C
