I have skills in communications, PR, fundraising/development, organizational <br /> efficiency, board development, and operations. I currently work supporting climate research at <br /> climate and sustainability community engagement at Duke and have previously worked in the <br /> Office of the Duke Forest, familiarizing myself generally with some of the natural assets of the <br /> county. To be clear, I am volunteering to serve as an individual NOT as a representative of <br /> Duke. I played a small part in the Eno New Hope Habitat Connectivity plan. I live near Cedar <br /> Grove and have been a resident of Orange County since 2003 when I moved here for college at <br /> UNC. I am an avid hiker of all of our county's natural areas and a current student in NCBG s <br /> native plant certificate program. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br />
