I hold national <br /> certifications in climate communications (NASA) and nature interpretation (National Association <br /> of Interpreters), and a North Carolina state certification in environmental education. I'm also a <br /> member of NASA s Earth to Sky Community of Practice, which develops materials and <br /> programs for place-based environmental and climate education and interpretation. I've been a <br /> professional journalist, marketing executive and advocacy strategist for 40+ years. Additionally, <br /> I've served on several muncipal boards and chaired the Chapel Hill Chambers Economic <br /> Development& Public Policy Committee, so I have a clear understanding of how local <br /> government works.
