35 <br /> These three priority areas are: Access to Healthcare; Behavioral Health; and <br /> Connections to Community Support. <br /> • April 2024 — The BOH submitted a letter in support of the BOCC amending the <br /> Orange County Unified Development Ordinance to limit the opening of new <br /> tobacco and vape shops within 1,000 feet of locations where youth congregate, <br /> including schools and parks. Strong tobacco retailer licensure requirements are <br /> an evidence-based way to help reduce and prevent youth tobacco use. <br /> • September 2024 — The BOH approved the Community Health Improvement <br /> Plans (CHIPs) for the next four years.
