28 <br /> Angel Barnes Page 3 <br /> 25 February 2025 <br /> Task 2b—Courthouse Square: landscape architecture,planning, and site engineering services: <br /> • Review and assess the current site features, trees,plantings, and hardscape of the <br /> square as the first step to developing plans for improvements and enhancements. <br /> • Develop a new long-range Master Plan for the square, to address all major areas of <br /> concern,including but not limited to sidewalks, accessibility,lighting, seating, <br /> plantings,interpretive signage, and drainage for the site and the building. This plan <br /> will be developed through a public process that solicits and incorporates input from <br /> major stakeholders (including Courts, Orange County,Town of Hillsborough,Arts <br /> Council,Visitors Bureau,Historic District Commission, and advocates for <br /> accessibility). <br /> • It is understood that a minimum of three (3) public input meetings with community <br /> stakeholders will be required as part of the preparation of the Master Plan for <br /> Courthouse Square. <br /> • The recommendations and work proposed in the approved Master Plan will be <br /> implemented as part of the overall building and grounds improvement project as <br /> funding becomes available. <br /> JKOA will work with an Owner design committee which shall include but not be limited to <br /> the Orange County Landscape Architect, the Orange County Cultural Resources <br /> Coordinator, the Capital Projects Manager, the Capital Field Coordinator, and a <br /> representative from the Courts Division.
