2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> VOLUNTEER WEEK <br /> April 20-26, 2025 <br /> WHEREAS, National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize and honor the impact of <br /> volunteer service and come together to tackle community needs and foster a culture of civic <br /> engagement; and <br /> WHEREAS, experience teaches us that government by itself cannot solve all of our nation's <br /> problems; and <br /> WHEREAS, volunteering one's time, talents, and resources has been an integral part of our <br /> heritage since the early days of our nation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County has a strong history of improving lives, strengthening communities, <br /> and making our County a better place through volunteerism; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential that we continue this tradition of giving and sharing to preserve and <br /> improve the quality of life for all members of our community; and <br /> WHEREAS, volunteer service is needed more than ever as communities work to support and <br /> uphold their ideals on a local level; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> encourages all community members to celebrate Volunteer Week by promoting volunteerism in <br /> our families and communities and being all in for Orange County; <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners hereby proclaims <br /> April 20-26, 2025, as "Volunteer Week" in Orange County. <br /> This the 1 st day of April, 2025. <br /> Jamezetta Bedford, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Laura Jensen <br /> Clerk to the Board of Commissioners <br />
