28 <br /> Stephanie Trueblood said the train station was funded in the 2015-2016 transportation <br /> improvement program. She said at the time it was estimated at $8 million. She said a cost- <br /> sharing agreement was signed in March 2020 between NC DOT and the Town of Hillsborough. <br /> She said the town has long-term ownership and maintenance of the train station, platform, and <br /> site. She said the original timeframe of the agreement was seven years, but that the agreement <br /> could be extended.
