Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee — Appointments <br /> 18 Discussion <br /> 19 The Board discussed appointments to the Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community <br /> 20 Advisory Committee. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 BACKGROUND: The Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> 23 works to maintain the intent of the Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Residents' Bills of Rights <br /> 24 and promote community involvement and cooperation with these homes to ensure quality care <br /> 25 for older and disabled adults. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all fourteen (14) members. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 REMINDER: As of July 1, 2017, House Bill 248 was adopted by the North Carolina General <br /> 30 Assembly regarding the training period for pending members of the "Adult Care Home Community <br /> 31 Advisory Committee and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee".
