If so, what funds were <br /> used? <br /> Yes No <br /> Funding used (Please describe): <br /> Yes, SolarEquity was a major stakeholder in the solarization of 17 HFH homes <br /> in Hillsborough, NC, fundraising $10,000 and soliciting the donation of 260 <br /> panels. The monetary donation came from Swedish Match and the panel <br /> donation came from Strata Clean Energy. SolarEquity also spearheaded the <br /> installation of a 42kW system on EmPOWERment ’s PEACH Apartments. Funds <br /> came from the Orange County Community Climate Action Fund, Fulbright <br /> Bank, Cypress Creek Renewables, and a bevy of individual donors. The panels <br /> were donated by Maxeon Solar. <br /> 22. Additionally, SolarEquity spearheaded the <br /> installation of a 42kW system on EmPOWERment ’s PEACH Apartments. <br /> While the Apartments’ construction was delayed due to permitting <br /> issues, SolarEquity secured much of the necessary funding and a <br /> tailored solar proposal months ahead of schedule. Over the <br /> organization’s short history, SolarEquity has proven to be financially <br /> responsible and able to manage complex logistics in a timely manner. <br /> 23. If you are proposing to <br /> collaborate with other <br /> organizations on this project, <br /> please briefly describe their <br /> relevant experience to the <br /> project and/or the target <br /> population. <br /> NC Solar Now: <br /> NC Solar Now is a trusted solar installer in the state of North Carolina. <br /> Recently, they have designed and installed systems on homes across <br /> Orange County, West Raleigh Presbyterian Church, the Inn at Governors <br /> Club, and iPearl Inc. They have helped several non-profits solarize <br /> buildings and are eager to play a role in solarizing affordable housing as <br /> evidenced by their generous discounted prices to the Peach <br /> Apartments project. <br /> St. Joseph's CME Church: <br /> While St. Joseph's CME Church does not have experience with solar <br /> projects, they have a vast knowledge of Chapel Hill’s Northside <br /> Neighborhoods and balancing the community ’s development with <br /> historical conservation. The Church has been steadfast in serving the <br /> community since 1898. In terms of the project at hand, the Church has <br /> been influential in tailoring the solar system to the needs of the <br /> community.
