Northside Neighborhood observes the lack of maintenance firsthand,
they will be more inclined to install solar on their own homes. If three
single-family homes were fitted with a 5.4kW system due to the St.
Joseph's CME Church’s influence, an additional 990,000 pounds of
carbon could be prevented from entering the atmosphere over the
next 25 years. This number is an estimate based off of former
single-family solar projects completed while working with Habitat for
Humanity in Orange County.
Sources:
How Religion Intersects With Americans’ Views on the Environment |
Pew Research Center
Criterion 3 - Efficient Use of Funds
This criterion has a maximum score of 4 pts (out of a total of 26 pts).
Please estimate the impact of your project per grant dollar requested. The cost per unit of impact must reflect
the total program budget divided by the total impact of the project described in this application. If the
proposed project is new, please write N/A in the Actual Annual Project Costs column of the table below, and
just fill out the last column.
Please see the Grant Project website for further guidance and the Background and Information document for
information about technical assistance. Applicants are encouraged to ask for clarification and technical
assistance as early as possible and no later than the posted deadline for questions.
Example
Actual Annual Project Costs
(If your proposed project
expands or accelerates an
ongoing effort)
Projected Project
Costs
Total Cost of Project $3,765 $78,251
Unit of Impact:
Total # of metric tons of
greenhouse gasses reduced
44 metric tons
CO2e/year
19.8 metric tons
CO2e/year for 25 years
→ 471 metric tons
CO2e/year
Cost Per Metric Ton of GHG’s
Reduced
$3,765/44 =
$86/metric ton $166/metric ton
Unit of Impact:
Total # of individuals
served/benefitted
8,840
individuals/year 1,716 individuals/year
Cost Per Individual
Served/Benefitted
$3,765/8,840 =
$0.43/individual $45.60/individual
Other Unit of Impact: Please
describe here
N/A
Cost Per Unit of Impact N/A
Other Unit of Impact: Please N/A
Docusign Envelope ID: 257985C7-FC41-4937-8E64-B610C38DBA58
