AmericanFacility <br />SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />American Facility Services, Inc. (AFS) is pleased to submit for your review and consideration, <br />our qualifications to perform the janitorial service contract for the Orange County Drakeford <br />Library Complex. We have reviewed the entire solicitation and examined the requirements <br />closely. We feel that our ability to perform the required services is directly tied to our <br />organization's experience and capabilities in the janitorial business. <br /> <br />American Facility Services Company, Inc. (AFS), 1325 Union Hill Industrial Court, Suite A, <br />Alpharetta, GA 30004, is a widely respected commercial janitorial firm. Established May 15, <br />1991, as a Georgia Corporation, we began providing janitorial and custodial services for private <br />organizations and governmental agencies under Atlanta Building Maintenance Company, Inc. <br />In December 2007, the name was changed to reflect our nationwide presence better. We have <br />a long, successful history of performing work in the Southeast and are in good standing with <br />federal, state, and municipal jurisdictions, and are a proud member of ISSA. <br /> <br />American Facility Services currently conducts business in nine southeastern states and has <br />approximately 1,000 permanent employees, over 500 contracts in place, and services over 60 <br />million square feet. Over the past five years, we have maintained a similar customer base. Our <br />range of customers is wide, from small offices to large contracts with multiple facilities requiring <br />specific considerations, and many of our customers renew their contracts with us. <br /> <br />AFS currently has numerous contracts with many public agencies, some of which are provided <br />as references. We work for the cities of Atlanta, Tampa, Austin, Fort Worth, and Columbia (SC), <br />as well as numerous county governments, colleges, and school districts. These projects include <br />a variety of building types and specifications. AFS is fully capable of providing the services <br />needed to meet the needs of the user, and the contract specifications and cost-effectively <br />meeting those needs. <br /> <br />For this project, our primary objectives will be to ensure that all services are performed on <br />schedule and to your complete satisfaction. The scope of work and requirements of this RFP <br />are very much within our abilities, and we take no exceptions to the terms and conditions. <br /> <br />STABILITY <br /> <br />AFS has many relationships that have been in place for over 10 years, such as Synovus Banks, <br />Atlanta Public Schools, United Parcel Service, and the Texas Facilities Commission. Our <br />experience in handling many requirements allows us to adapt to any necessary changes in <br />service, enabling us to maintain superior levels of quality and satisfaction to keep our <br />relationships with our clients. <br /> <br />The stability of American Facility Services is also demonstrated by our low turnover rate, which <br />for the past two years has been less than 10%. Of that number, an average of 2% to 3% will <br />return to work for us. We provide benefits for our full-time employees and promote from within. <br />Our training methods are proven and result in employees who are confident and highly skilled. <br />We provide the best equipment and supplies available so that our employees can also work <br />efficiently.
