Who will directly or indirectly benefit from your <br />project? Please be as specific as possible on the <br />characteristics of those who will benefit including, <br />gender, race, age, income level and geographic <br />location. <br /> <br />Also, what are the demographics of the area where <br />your project takes place? <br /> <br />Does your project help to address any racial <br />disparities in the location it is proposed for? <br /> <br />Please list any data sources used and show the <br />steps of any calculations. <br />The Confluence Natural Area is located within a rural <br />farming community in northern Orange County <br />between Hillsborough and Cedar Grove. The areas <br />directly to the west, north, and south of the preserve <br />fall within 50-80 National percentile for low-income <br />households and people of color. The community of <br />Efland, just a seven-minute drive from the preserve, <br />falls within 90-95 national percentile for low-income <br />households (EPA EJScreen). The preserve has a <br />visitation of over 10,000 people per year from <br />communities across the Triangle. <br />The conversion of the agricultural fields to Piedmont <br />prairie and forest will serve as both an educational <br />tool for visitors and students and as a source of <br />pollinators for the surrounding agricultural lands.
