If you are proposing to <br />collaborate with other <br />organizations on this <br />project, please briefly <br />describe their relevant <br />experience to the project <br />and/or the target <br />population. <br />TftT is collaborating with DOC NC, a youth-led organization representing <br />students across K-12 with a strong theme of environmental and <br />sustainability initiatives working across the region over the past four years. <br />DOC NC’s youth members have spearheaded various environmental <br />projects, including litter sweeps and outdoor events at Jordan Lake, as well <br />as educational programs aimed at raising awareness about environmental <br />and climate issues. Under the guidance of Duke University mentors, DOC <br />NC’s youth have successfully conducted environmental awareness <br />programs for elementary and middle school students in the RTP area, <br />demonstrating their capability and dedication to engaging and educating <br />the target population. DOC NC members are enthusiastic about supporting <br />the Shade for Schools - Orange County program and are eager to engage in <br />volunteering and internship opportunities. <br />24. a. Our Executive Director is a Certified Arborist accredited by the <br />International Society of Arboriculture, ensuring that site assessments and <br />tree planting are conducted with the highest level of professionalism and <br />care. We excel in training volunteers for site assessments and planting, <br />which are core competencies of our organization. Additionally, the TftT <br />Board of Directors has extensive experience, and they will be actively <br />involved in the program.
