C„~,.1, l>.,,.~~,,,,, <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Nancy Glover, Deputy Clerk to the Board of Commissioners <br />FROM: David Stancil, Environment and Resource Conservation Direckor <br />DATE: April 2, 2004 <br />SU67ECT: Recommendation for Appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission <br />At their meeting on March 24, the Historic Preservation Commission recommended Alice H. <br />Remini for appointment to the Commission, Cathleen Turner, Executive Director of the <br />Alliance for Historic Hillsborough, suggested Ms, Remini as a potential candidate who would <br />meet our preservation criteria, In addition to renovating a farmhouse in Cheeks Township, <br />Ms, Remini has a considerable academic background in architectural history and should <br />contribute to our ongoing work on the architectural history ptablication and design guidelines, <br />Her past work in finance should also be of value as we look to develop new programs to assist <br />local preservation efforts, <br />Please convey this to the Board of Commissioners for their consideration in April. Ms, <br />Remini would fill the seat of Dr, Carolyn Connor, who rotated off the Commission in March. <br />
