IMPLEMENT PRIORITIES: <br /> PRIORITIES: Budget/CIP <br /> Initiatives, Projects, <br /> Code Updates <br /> Planning Cycle <br /> The Planning Cycle <br /> Land use planning is a continuous cycle: It begins with identifying a long-range vision <br /> and developing policy guidance as components of an adopted land use plan.The <br /> community then identifies shorter-term priorities such as the Orange County Strategic <br /> Plan and departmental work plans that support long-range policy direction. <br /> Using these plans,the County can identify priorities in order to create the County's <br /> annual budget and capital improvements plan to implement the community's vision <br /> and achieve its goals.The County assesses implementation efforts to measure and <br /> evaluate progress. Land use plans are generally updated on five to ten-year cycles, <br /> depending on the needs of the community and to address changing conditions and <br /> planning influences that affect land use. <br /> 6 PUBLIC REVIEW DRAFT <br />
