Identify, fund, and prepare new and <br /> existing public facilities • serveas resilience <br /> hubs. <br /> Resilience hubs will provide essential services during emergencies, such <br /> as natural disasters and climate-related events, and will ensure that <br /> vulnerable populations have access to support, resources, and shelter. <br /> In coordination with the Orange County Climate Action Plan and the Eno-Haw <br /> Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan,the intent of this policy is to ensure that public <br /> facilities are strategically identified and equipped to function as resilience hubs during <br /> emergencies.These hubs will serve as safe spaces that provide critical resources, <br /> such as food,water, medical care,communication services,and shelter,to support the <br /> community before,during,and after disasters.The policy aims to foster a network of <br /> well-prepared and accessible facilities that increase the county's resilience to climate <br /> change impacts,enhance emergency preparedness,and ensure that all residents, <br /> particularly those from vulnerable communities, have the necessary resources during <br /> times of crisis.
