Objectives of this policy include: <br /> • Promote active transportation and mobility within Rural Conservation <br /> Neighborhoods,Activity Nodes,and support the same in municipalities and their <br /> growth areas. <br /> • Increase access to healthy foods by supporting continued viability of farming and <br /> access to locally produced products. <br /> • Reduce vehicle miles traveled through the realization of strategically located <br /> growth areas for commercial and employment purposes. <br /> • Enhance green spaces and recreation through the design of Rural Conservation <br /> Neighborhoods. <br /> • Incorporate the U.S. Census Bureau's Social Vulnerability Index data to address the <br /> lack of or limited access to County services and facilities that address individual <br /> health concerns,such as parks and recreation facilities,aging services,and <br /> transportation services. <br /> • Promote clean air,water,and environmental quality practices. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY LAND USE PLAN 2050 49 <br />
